..because you can beat anyone who is good at the game by just mashing buttons. No, aaaand... No. I agree with him! Button mashing indeed! I've played a lot of fighting games. I also like a lot of fighting games. But I cannot think of a fighting game that I can comfortably say was actually con...

Ya gotta have a hordling in there. Yes, Hordling is definitely a must. Same with pervert boss from PDWT. I got a couple more from games I played: Adam from Lost Eden. The Chef from PO'ed. Johnny Bazookatone ... ugh... we'll make that character suck. and I'm quite proud of this one: Dennis Miller , ...

Everyone from Road Rash, if we can choose multi system games. Heck yeah. Ports or games based off other lore should be fair game. I think we'd pretty much have to anyway. I would choose Mike or Rhonda from Road Rash, they seems the most unique. Hehe, and good call on Captain Quazar and the Blade Fo...

3DO Super Smash Brothers

At lunch one day a few of my friends and I discussed what characters you'd see on an XBox Super Smash Brothers. Instead of Mario and Luigi, you'd see Master Chief and Commander Shepard. I starting pondering if I could even come up with enough 3DO characters for a 3DO super smash brothers. Here are s...

I as well noticed the F on Immercenary. The game's goofy, but it's no "Shadow: War of Succession" or "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties".

Ya know, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties should get a modern day reboot. Complete with team-based online deathmatch and tournaments. Or maybe an MMO.

Thread revival! Anybody with the hardware or knowledge on this flightstick? I would really like to get flightstick support added to 4DO. Again, to clarify, it would be very helpful to know if there's a game out there that will give me an indication that the console has detected a flight stick plugge...

I'm not entirely certain the 3DO can play VCD format on it's own. I think that there was some hardware VCD add-on to the 3DO. Do you have one of these? I'll bet someone could find some freeware software that could convert to VCD. I'm kinda doubting you have one though... To get a video to play on a ...

3do game with flight stick and/or control test

I find myself interested in finding out how to support the flight stick for 4DO. I was only able to figure out controls for a regular gamepad because I could disassemble FreeDO and then plug away at the remaining bits for the multi-player support. For a flight stick, however, I don't really have any...

Analysis complete. It looks like an MD5 of the first two sectors (first 4k) is what I'll be starting with! There was in fact only one game that prevented me from using merely the first sector. Not even the multi-CD games were a problem. All titles were unique and distinguishable except for one miscr...

I loved Alone In the Dark. I also bought #2 a few months later. I found Alone in the Dark 2 very frustrating. But I loved 3D so much that I was able to slog through the awful gameplay and pathetic puzzles. Also, the music kicked some serious ass, and for that reason it's one of the games I use perio...

Identical 3DO CDs

I'm working on a unique-id system for 3DO games. In the process, I've found what looks to be genuinely identical CD images. A lot of them are just EU and US duplicates, but then there are some rather confusing duplicates in the 3DO magazine and samplers realm... Does anybody happen to have these CDs...

The only problem I could imagine here is if some company wrote a generic LaunchMe program that launches another executable on the disc and used that for every one of their games. But I can't imagine why they would do that. I'd be surprised if 3DO would have even approved a game made like that back ...

I'm liking a lot of the features present in this emulator. Any chance of either saving or displaying the output logs (or stdio) that were part of FreeDO? Thanks for the compliment! Well, I've found that FreeDO 2.1a has "expande resulution". This renders things to 640x480. I don't really know if it's doing hardware acceleration either (I doubt it).

Calavera, is the version you're referring to a different one with other options?

After that, LaunchMe is the main executable, so you can guarantee that it will be unique for all games (including different versions of a game). Really? How would it be unique?
