I've always wondered what programs were actually released for the kiosk M2 units. I'm aware of the Chevy vehicle disc title, and I think some kind of architecture program. I'd love to see pics! :P

I was also a Sega fanboy back in the day. I picked the Genesis over the SNES, and I even added the 32X when it was released (too bad Sega was juggling too many systems at once :( ) I picked up a Saturn late in it's life span and still enjoy it on occassion. I nabbed a Dreamcast on launch day and hav...

I like how your forum has a dedicated section for M2. It is a good idea, one worth copying. Hopefully a similar section will be added to this forum.

That is true, most people seemed to love the 3DO music tracks.

(I just noticed that this post is listed under reviews ... I think it probably should be moved to the regualar forum)

SFII is my fav & 3DO is widely recognized as having the best port ever!

I noticed a couple of titles missing form your nominees list...

Supreme Warrior (limited fighter using the same engine as the Sega cd game 'Prize Fighter')

Primal Rage (a great arcade port of a pretty good, if overrated, game)

Review - The Incredible Machine

I had some choice words for Dynamix in my review of Draxon's Revenge, but 'The Incredible Machine' shows that they were indeed capable of producing some great software. Have you ever played the board game 'MouseTrap'? Or do you remeber that crazy contraption that opened the gate in the movie 'The Go...

I always admired Trip's ambition. He had a very clear vision of where he thought the industry was headed, and he worked hard at seeing his goals through. Just because 3DO may not have become the "new world standard" in interactive entertainment does not make it any less important. Sometimes failures...

I'd like to try out an FZ-10 unit, since it is the only model I haven't owned (outside of the japenese one) I bet this is the best version since it was the last one produced. Also it doesn't have to worry about a motorized door.

I never had any trouble w/my FZ-1 unit. The much debated Goldstar machine has never given me too much trouble either. Once in a blue moon it won't take an import on the first try, and the cd tray does get stuck on occasion, but considering how much I've played the thing it's hung up quite well. Oh, ...

I am almost certain that the silver & blue disc copy of 'Crash 'n burn' is the version that came packaged w/the original FZ-1 model 3DO in just a jewel case. Perhaps the red copy was the one made available seperately in a long box.

While we are on the subject, how about starting a whole section just on M2? We have forums for trades & reivews ... I think M2 deserves it's own spot too! Surely between all of us we could fill it up with info (heck we probably know more about the machine than most anyone else on the net.) :P

Here is a quote from the July 1996 issue of 3DO magazine, page 28 ... "The game was actually written alongside the 3DO OS, which was occasionally reworked to suit the game - since it was the pack-in title, the machine itself couldn't shup until Crash 'N' Burn was complete. Unsurprisingly some shortc...

It would have been a very smart move on Sega's part, but I think they were always determined to go ahead on their own (remember the other potential merger they were going to have w/Bandai?) They were great game designers, but not great business folks. To think that they had a machine that was as suc...

I have a feeling that one is Water World as they were all talking about WW a long time ago. Niothing ever came of it as the talk just dissappeared. I remember seeing the Waterworld demo on the Interplay disc & I always thought it looked cool (even more so after reading the preivew in 3DO magazine)....

It was actually kinda fun to write a "scathing" review. Glad you enjoyed it. Thankfully I enjoy most 3DO titles, so hopefully reviews of this nature will be few. As far as Dynamix goes, they did release the Incredible Machine for 3DO which was pretty fun. And Willy Beamish was/is still one of my fav...

I've always been interested in the Neo Geo. I think it is a good contrast to 3DO ... deep & time consuming games versus quick arcade fixes. Good choice w/the CDZ too, as I heard the original model had killer load times. Apparently this is still the system to own if you are a fan of fighting & shooti...

Rpg games always fetch big bucks on Ebay, even if they aren't that good (not saying that about Luciene's Quest though, I like it quite a bit) What is the address for your site T2K?
