Thanks for the feedback. I'll try & post some of the other reviews that I have written within the next few days. Might I ask what pattern it is that you see forming? In my defense I present this quote (about Space Hulk mind you, not Total Eclipse) "The only flaw is that it's a demonically har...

Well so much for my direct comparison cause I didn't win the auction :( I still think the 2 games look quite a bit alike though. I also lost my bid on the Sanyo baseball title too (forgot the name already) Just not my week on Ebay I guess.

Actually, as far as I know the 3DO had the best FMV of any version. I think the pc was only half the screen size (think early sega cd, but w/higher resolution)

I would pay a king's ransom for the last 2 issues of 3DO magazine (wanna sell, fish? ) I've always wanted to read their reviews on Luciene's Quest & Robinson's Requeim. Were they rated highly? What other info is in the last 2 issues?

While not as good as Crystal Dynamics othe...

Hmmm ... maybe I'm just not the game player I thought I was  Seriously though, I remeber reading reviews that ripped the game for it's challenge back in the day (EGM especially, wish I could find my old issue) so I know I'm not the only one who thinks it is crazy hard. A mute point I guess sin...

I never knew that about the Goldstar machines. How do you tell which version you have? (I'm guessing I have the latter since mine runs problem free) 2 machines in 1 yrs time ... no wonder Goldstar stopped production of their 3DO model!

A few that I recall off the top of my head are Myst, World Cup Golf, & some of the ALG shooting titles. If you have any of the 3DO Game Secrets books, they list which titles are compatible (I'll have to check to see what I am forgetting) I do use the mouse from time to time, but If I was not a colle...

All awesome games (although I think you really need 2 players to get the most enjoyment out of Return Fire) A since Fifa was mentioned again, I gotta say I prefer it much more than Striker (not a bad game mind you) I just think it is better looking & more playable.

I agree, Microcosm & it's sequel Novastorm both stunk up the 3DO (although Die Hard Game Fan gave the latter it's shooting game of the year award :? so some evidently get a kick out of lousy games) This is the first time I have ever heard of Daedalus beig on cd-i ... I am curious to know how it look...

3DO/CD-I ports

Since many of us here are part of the cd-i forum also, I'm curious what your thought are on games that appeared on both platfroms. Which system has the best version of each game & why? I am most curious about Mad Dog I & Creature Shock, which I thought were awful on the 3DO (Mad Dog because of the s...

Saved games & The Horde

I was looking at copies of the Horde on Ebay, but I remember reading that the first batch of discs that were released had a bug that deleted all the 3DO's save files. Anyone know how to identify the fixed version (short of trial & error) I just can't bring myself to purchase the Saturn version.

Wasn't 3DO magazine a European publication? It was/is a great source of 3DO info, much better than it's American equivalent, 3 magazine.

I've heard from some that the Goldstar player has trouble reading certain discs. Has anyone ever encountred this? Sometimes my Japenese games take a few attempts to load (mainly Virtual Stadium Baseball) but I've never had a game not work at all.

Maybe because early on, both Cd-i & 3DO were focused on being more than game machines. Both had 'interactive' in thier names. Much of the early software were not games, but other titles. For 3DO, it was Software Toolworks informational cds, the Learnign Cube cd's, video cd's like Toon Time & Woody W...

After months of drooling over pics of all the hot EA & Studio 3DO games, I finally got my FZ-1 in late '95 or early '96 (can't remember exactly). I got a real good deal, and the system came w/a couple games also. The first time I played it, my jaw dropped. (This was one of only two systems to have e...

I've tried a few times to acquire Dino park tycoon, but I always get out bid in the final moments (maybe by you Lemmi?) I do like Space Hulk, but can't say it is in my top ten only because it is so brutally hard! (thankfully I got the the two part strategy guide in 3DO magazine) I think WCIII is better than the PC version for a few reasons, but even if you prefer the latter it is worth playing on 3DO, since many of t...

I own over 20 systems, and counless games. For 3DO, my game list is 100+ and growing. I love the fact that 3DO has no...
