I do think it would be interesting. A HD, a keyboard and mouse, an operating system... no wait...

That aside, its pretty amazing what they do with the Atari Jaguar, no reason why they couldn't do the same with a 3DO.

It's an interesting question - is the 3DO a joke? It is anecdotal story to scare hardware vendors, that's for sure. I think it is a good collectors system. It's reasonably confined, unlike say the Sega systems or the Nintendo where you don't have a cat-in-hells chance of getting everything. Even the...

I paid a kings ransom for Dragon Lore and never played it past that first sequence with the cow. For some reason I always think of Mel Gibson and Sean Connery and it puts me off.

Perhaps I should - especially if you are saying it is as good as all that.

Introduce yourself.

"Oooo are ya?" As my dear old Grandmother used to say. Sadly, well less sadly for Granny and more sadly for us, it was Dementia.

So, avoid repeating yourself like Granny and introduce yourself to the gang...

Me too. Although I only collect for the 3DO. I'd be divorced, quite possibly dead and maybe even castrated if I collected for anything else. So memory works fine :D

Apart from the numerous duplicate copies of stuff I've got for when I can't be bothered to lean over and check when I'm on eBay!

...Nope.

To be honest - I wouldn't even know where to start asking for that sort of thing. That chap over at 3DO Collective had an impressive collection of 3DO pre-releases... always did wonder how he went about that...

Cheers mate!

I'll add what I know of the Japanese games tomorrow! I've got family (natives) in Japan who send me stuff and I've bought stuff too. I have a vague idea of what Japanese games I have missing too!

Re: Best games on the 3DO.

- Microcosm. Crap game but the 3DO had the best graphics. No the CD-i had the best graphics... well in prototype form at least! Is Street Fighter II Turbo really that good? I've been tempted to get that special controller that was released for the game on 3DO. The 3DO SF2 Turbo is a good ste...

Videos of 3DO games running.

I have some TEH RAR3 3DO!!111!!11!! games. I do. Things like Autobahn Tokio, Dr Hauzer, Gran Chef, Blue Forest, etc... Would anyone be interested in seeing videos of these as opposed to just screen shots? Especially the ones like Blue Forest which needs a Japanese machine to run on! Just a thought.....

How many games?

Games list? I've been looking for a decent list of games for the 3DO - but most are rubbish. The problem appears to be that firstly none games are included, demo discs are included and bundles are included. Secondly the Japanese games are often counted twice - even though it's just a direct translat...

Best games on the 3DO.

This question is bound to crop up a lot. Which are the best games for the 3DO. 3DO had a mixed bag of games. I'm quite the 3DO fan so... #1 best games: - Space hulk. Strategy FPS? better than Doom IMHO. Better than AvP on the Jag too. It's a thinking mans FPS! - NFS. - Wing Commander III More votes ...

Compatibility.

Multi Region on the 3DO Players is a but bitey. All seems well but every so often multi-region on the 3DO will bite you. (byte you geddit!) For example. Casper. PAL Casper works on a PAL machine. NTSC Casper works on an NTSC U.S. Machine but not vice-verse. However - CASPER either PAL or NTSC works ...

IDE connectivity to 3DO.

The guys over at the Freedo reckon they have drawn up the blueprints for a device that will allow an Panasonic FZ-1 to connect to an IDE drive. However, they have a catch 22 situation. The basic upshot is they need a lot of pre-orders and deposits to make the project viable. The more they sell, the ...

This happened to me in Gamestation in Cambridge. I went for a look around and it was when they had just started doing retro games. I was informed by the wise young sage behind the counter that the Cambs store was to be a flag ship for retro. So I said "Do you have any 3DO stuff then?" At which point...

Rose tinted goggles.

I, 3DO Kid, last of the great 3DO Fanboys, (until Lemmi turns up that is!) stand accused of rose tinted goggles. Me? (can you believe it?) When I suggested Special Stage Route 5 on the PSX looks a bit like the night track on Autobahn Tokio. You decide: Autobahn Tokio - 3DO. http://i35.photobucket.co...
