Re: LongTris (WIP)
So i was able to get a first version working properly, a playable alpha is now available for download. There's one big issue with it though : When there are too much blokcs (about 1 third of the playfield), it will flicker. 3DO weren't kidding when they said that their pixels routines were too slow...

LongTris (WIP)
For now, this is going to be a development thread for LongTris, a tetris clone. I'm going to make sure that LongTris is going to the definitive Tetris clone for 3DO. I don't think a port of Tetris was done or even planned... https://gameblabla.olympe.in/img/longtris.png Downloads: Alpha 1 Github rep...

Re: Halloween/Holiday programming fun!
Okay then, no rules. Cool :D I stumbled upon a cool and portable implementation of Tetris. I think i can release a basic of it (using my library, gameblabla's wrapper) with no sound and then i will maybe make it haloween themed. There's a current lack of a good tetris implementation on 3DO so i'm su...

Re: Halloween/Holiday programming fun!
Damnit, i missed this post ! The problem is that, i hate rules and i suck when it comes to complying with them. ... But a Halloween-theme game might not be a bad idea. I would have to think what kind of game i could do and i defintively want something to release this year. I remember this thread whe...

Re: 3DO Doom succesfully compiled (but no way to run it)
I can't really help because i either need a real pc with Mac OS 7 or virtual machine with everything ready. I can upload my configured emulator Mac OS 7 with preinstalled MPW and Makerez source. Your knowledge of C# is much better than my. So, if you want to try this, I'll upload it. [/quote] I'm i...

Re: 3DO Doom succesfully compiled (but no way to run it)
Also, Rebecca gave me two sources of old MakeRez app. But I can't compile it. Can you try to do it? If I understand correctly, we have to compile and use it under MPW. There is a new makerez app, but it doesn't use functions needed for Doom REZFILE. I can't really help because i either need a real ...

Re: 3DO Doom succesfully compiled (but no way to run it)
I've made a small feature. Music stops reading from CD, when a slide is set to zero. It starts playing again when the slider position is >0. The problem is in converting a REZFILE. If someone can help, it would be greatful! The only problem is in last lump encoding. Read from here: http://forum.3do...

Re: Review - Return Fire (with developer interview)
Good review. Return Fire is probably the best 3DO game i've played, it's just simply fun. Too bad nobody wants to play with me... Didn't know the game ran at 12 frame per second, it doesn't feel like. Wish it would run on PAL 3DO a little faster though, they could have taken advantage of the extra c...

Re: 3DO Doom succesfully compiled (but no way to run it)
Launchme compiled on MPW Shell works on emulators/consoles. That's definitively good news, thanks Versus for letting me know ! This means that we can at least for a while, improve the framerate. (From what i've seen, it's definitively not going to be easy though. She really did her best) Might be a...

Thanks ! I'm currently in the process of porting it to NEC PC-FX. If i had to improve it, i would implement a menu to configure the controls and include 10 more ROMS complete with a menu. Now that you have Chip8 running, how far off is LameNES? I only need to add the ability to load ROMS from the ex...

This function (fopen) isn't from official SDK, right? Yes, it's from the SDK. What i'm saying though is that maybe fopen works when compiled wth the official SDK. CHIP8 Emulator for 3DO
Ladies and Gentlemen, the first emulator for 3DO ! Granted, it's not as advanced as the PSX's CHIP8 emulator one due to me hitting some bugs in the 3DO libraries... At least you can play with the controller unlike the PSX's one. The CHIP-8 is the probably the only console (it's a VM actually) with t...

A while back, I was looking into that. There's a function for it in the documentation. I never tried it, but it said something about it being too slow to be used for anything substantial. Edit: directly from the documentation (01gpr073.html in the "3DO Online Developer Documentation") Thanks for th...

There are issues and nobody knows how to fix them. I had the same issues as Mobius , it tells me that the functions were undefined. LameNES (NES emulator) for 3DO ?
I'm mainly talking to coders who hang out sometimes here so i'll be a bit technical. So i was looking for NES emulators to port to Ti Nspire and then i stumbled into this, LameNES . LameNES is a simple NES emulator that can emulate Super Mario Bros along with other games. (with some graphical glitch...

It's a pity there's no code... I'm seriously thinking on switching to Basilisk II and just use the official tools. Yes , that's true but switching to a virtual environment instead is a bad idea. It will be a royal pain in the ass for you to work on a game, especially with modern tools. That and you...

Re: OperaFS[De]Compiler commandline or source code?
Unfortunely, OperaFS[De]Compiller does not accept command-line parameters. (At least it doesn't seem to)
There's the source code to a Linux implementation of the OperaFS file system here but not to the compiler itself. You're on your own.
Good luck with your projects !

Re: 3DO Doom succesfully compiled (but no way to run it)
Would there be any way of hacking the game and fixing its framerate issue? That would be useless, because the source code is available. Even if i want to hack the game, i would still have to use OperaFS. So no. The members at 3doplanet are trying to understand the REZFILE format so i posted it ther...
