DarkSeed

Not to promote roms, but you can also play many Amiga games on the CD32. There are CD32's discs with hundreds of Amiga games on them.

I'm assuming they cut out or dumbed down the sound to make it fit on the cart. And I doubt it has all the CG cut scenes from CD versions.

cracked open my Jag version to compare. The sound and CG is better on the 3DO. The Jag controller actually helps a little bit here with it's little button matrix, but the sound is not as good. Seems to run a little smoother on jag as well. I could not imagine playing this on a 16bit console. that wo...

I sunk a ton of hours into syndicate back in the day. I actually bought this at a store during the 3do's lifetime. The port is solid. If you read a review that says it plays slow, that is just how the game is. The PC version is probably best, but i think it lacked the CG scenes. The controls take a ...

I just told him it would look nice next to my 2600.

Neo Geo takes the top spot in my retro gaming.
I'm a neo gamer first and foremost.

While my collection has trimmed down over the years, I still have a bookshelf fulll of just AES and MVS.

It's also one of the most underrated handheld systems too.

Most of these systems didn't launch with pack-ins, but later bundles had games.

That was definitely the case with CD32.

Post 16bit era had almost no pack ins.

you were right initially. Christians are FUBAR. Especially in the US where there are 100's of divisions past just Catholic or protestant. And every single of them has a sense of entitlement. Is it the church that has an issue with swearing? I have been wondering this a lot lately why as a society we...

It's hard to get a sense of environment from grainy compressed video. Movie FMV is still quite bad. Burn cycle is a great example, but the gameplay is mostly CG backgrounds. That would be like calling Myst an FMV game. Those games really blur the lines between an FMV game and a game that has FMV, wh...

FMV movie games are terrible. Avoid at all costs. The FMV era of videogames is like the 1980's of auto manufacturing. Nothing good came out of it. If you are going to make such a broad blanket statement, could you at least give a reason or two why you feel that why? :? I think that was/is part of 3...

Early in the game it's a lot of resource building and exploration.
Later on you get into some really awesome alien politics and gameplay.

racketboy.com, in general, is a pretty clueless bunch of people to put it lightly. There are definitely some useful people there, but the majority of them are very lost. Well you guys need to get Action Replays :)
They are not just for switching regions. They also have the RAM upgrades, Save features, and cheat codes.

Star Wars is probably a bad idea for showcasing VCD's. The compression in the desert scenes makes the entire screen a blur.

VCD taps out about 240i 1150 kbit/sec MPEG-1 352 x 240 pixels 29,97 frames/second That's about the same as VHS, and then you add in compression artifacts. It would be cool to have a few around. I'd actually have to plug in the VCD module for once. The adapter's are dirt cheap for Sega Saturn's now a...

I don't think i've ever met a VCD collector. The format was poorer than VHS and lacked any interesting features. I definitely understand interests in old formats tho. I still have a shelf of Laserdiscs. I can slightly justify LD's though. The quality can be good, and they are full of unique features.
