Re: Recent 3DO Purchases
I have a Saturn and I do love it but I was genuinely savouring it having never played it before on my 3do. Wanted to play the og on the hardware :P I am sad that way lol I will likely get the Saturn version someday just hoping I can get my current save issue resolved and play it through. Have to be ...

Re: FZ1 memory question/s
Cheers Martin. I am after the memory manager def not cheap the ones ive seen but cool and worth having in long run should be able to sort it out just seems weird it won't save the one game. Editing as samurai showdown is also saving my high scores and having changed the language from Japanese to Eng...

Re: FZ1 memory question/s
Yeah they are saving as when I play doom I can choose any of the levels and it saves my screen size preference etc and in big game mode on road rash my save file is always there and loads. It's just gex :? Not sure if is relevant but I used gex to delete everything that was on the internal memory. I...

Re: FZ1 memory question/s
I love the console so will persevere! When you beat a boss you get a remote. Is strange this week I played it again and thought will try not changing game after save and not turn machine off at wall, went to sleep and eight levels done save was still there 8) So continued and got to the first level ...

Re: FZ1 memory question/s
I can confirm gex is one of the games that lets you access a memory manager if yours is full. Road rash doom all saving fine. Gex however is not! Really enjoying it and completed all the levels and boss on first world went back to the level that has VCR under it on the map picked up the tape and tho...

FZ1 memory question/s
How can I tell if the memory on my F 1 is just full or, is needing repaired/replaced? I have total eclipse and doom and both play with no warning that memory is full does anyone know if I should be getting a warning? Also, if I get the memory unit will it be in Japanese as the console is? Finally, d...

Re: The big questions to help me buy the best 3DO
Guess the powers that be are not fans! Lol Yeah well I think there's a slight difference in the voltages in USA and Japan so if buying one specifically for a USA machine I would get a USA to uk step down I just assumed they were the same years ago and plugged the American snes in and it worked. I ha...

Re: The big questions to help me buy the best 3DO
I plan to get an s video cable for mine and just use headphones for the audio as I have stuff plugged into everything else so that's plan for now Is it an old tv? If not pretty sure it would run NTSC I paid like forty quid for a very nice condition fz1 with two pads and the composite lead waited a l...

Re: The big questions to help me buy the best 3DO
I would say NTSC as well Recently got a Japanese one and its cool 8) Pal doom and total eclipse play on it fine. Alone in the dark does not run at all as it has been optimised for the pal version to run full screen and speed so on the already 60hz machine it won't boot. There are apparently few game...

Re: Japanese fz1 pal game compatibility issue?
Thanks very much for checking this. I had kind of expected it would be but given I could find no mention of it I wasn't sure. Guess I have a very nice condition pal one to try and sell or trade now. Could just keep it and maybe get a pal console too someday..... We should compile a list of ga...

Re: Introduce yourself.
The pal version states on the front it features full screen display on any pal system so I am hoping that's the issue, it has been optimised for the speed and full screen and so will not run on the already 60hz console but nobody has confirmed this as yet. I don't currently have the capacity to burn...

Re: Alone in the Dark vs. Resident Evil
I see. I have a pal and Japanese Saturn and when I play the pal copy on the JP machine it has slight coloured borders top n bottom. I'm sure it was optimised for the pal release but its still playable. I didn't know of any disc saving issues as I use the action replay on the Japanese Saturn to play ...

Sticking open tray on FZ1
Anyone have any advice on any potential easy fixes for a sticking cd tray on an fz1? It powers up and if you open the console and let the drawer fully open to insert or change games it then won't close with the button on the console. I kind of have to press it then give it a gentle push and it then ...

Welcome Kyosho
You are in states but like me have the Japanese fz1 en route. If you should ever happen across a copy of alone in the dark one that is the pal release would you be so kind as to let me know if it runs on your console?

Re: Another World pre orders are up
From what I recall on their (RGC the guys making it) or possibly the atari age forum the confirmed version was apparently a port of the original was that on Amiga or ST? I know little of the origins of the game or format it was originally on sorry. Anyways I remember one guy moaning at the lack of i...

Really hoping I hear from RGC soon regarding this. Paid up front. Not cheap as you say and last email I had was an announcement of a delay due to cartridge label/other production related issues. I've never bought a homebrew game before and I paid for it about three months ago. Will be a sweet game t...

Re: Alone in the Dark vs. Resident Evil
I was really lookin forward to playing alone in the dark :x Resident evil is a favourite. I'm not sure but I felt when playing the saturn game it was more difficult than on the playstation. I wouldn't say playing either first will ruin the other provided you enjoy the style of game is kind of how I ...

Re: Greater enjoyment of a game if its on a certain console?
I do. The jaguar did not have a big library to choose from so I find playing wolfy doom and bubsy etc fun. I am looking forward to playing another world when it arrives more than I would a version for another system. I like playing tomb raider on the saturn, nights etc. resident evil. I love playing...

I got mine recently at Christmas with attack of the mutant penguins. The whole homebrew scene is cool and appealing. I have only paid for (and yet to receive) one such game, Another World. I do like the original Jaguar and cartridge. I might be sad but I do enjoy the labels and just seeing the cart running in the machine. I completely understand and appreciate the ca...

I have both. Got my jag at Christmas and my 3DO about a week ago. Love them both. Very much toys of my youth except I was a snes then playstation and n64 mainstreamer I wanted them both and would watch cybermorph and read about them in edge. Is cool to finally have them two decades later. Time does ...

I agree. Dooms soundtrack is awesome and when you play the snes version and hear how good it sounds you do wonder why they decided/were forced to go without it.
