Thanks for the post! I'm a big fan of Killing Time, and this was the ultimate resource of various intriguing trivia. I had gotten a PC version at one point and discovered how freakishly different it was. At the time I hated straight-up Doom clones (basically anything using the same engine with a dif...

Yeah, and they'll work on any TV too. Sweet perk.

By the way, did you know the 3DO Developer SDK makes mention of 3D stereoscopic glasses? They sure were innovative.

By the way, Lucienne's Quest is one of the handful of games that behaves well in the "High Definition" video mode in 4DO/FreeDO. I played all the way through with it.

What was with the pig-riding section? Talk about weird and ultimately pointless.

So I just beat Lucienne's Quest, and now I'm unhappy that it's over. :(

A good, easy-going game. Too bad it is the only one of its kind on 3DO.

Doom and Duke Nukem 3D used "raytracing" engines, which don't take advantage of 3DO's graphics processing in the native way and are slower. This is also why they avoid the weird blobby warpy textures. These days those games have been open sourced and ported to use actual polygons, and this approach ...

A couple weeks ago I payed for a 3DO and a bunch of odds and ends. About 10 controllers, 2 mice, 2 joysticks, a bunch of boxed games (only one sealed: Immercenary). 80 games in total. I'm unsure which are of significant value. The main reason I got it was for the joysticks. I'm going to try to emul...

I have my copy of Lucienne's Quest because my brother got a replacement 3DO that just happened to have the game still in the CD tray about 10 years ago. He was pretty happy with that because he knew the rarity of it.

I'd be interested in trying Wing Commander III finally. But I'm about to go on a 8 hour roundtrip drive tomorrow to pick up a 3DO and 80-some games and I'm unsure if Wing Commander III will be in there. I will know soon enough!

Well, in Theme Park I did go nuts at some point and turn my theme parks into sullen, horrid experiences. It's a weird one for sure. That Rock 3 one looks like a nursery toy. I practically expect teeth marks on it. Perhaps you can use it to learn your shapes, colors, and/or farm animals.

Well, so, I voted yes. But I think it would be extra cool if you got the 4DO logo instead. Honestly though 3DO tattoo would be awesome. If you already have an Atari one it doesn't seem too crazy to have a 3DO one. Quite the conversation piece too! 3DO's obscure enough for fellow nerds to vaguely rem...

Easy?! Only by Crystal Dynamics standards! The game's plenty challenging by design, but the combination of vertical scrolling and the inability to look up or down makes it a pain in the butt at points - you can't know, except by cruel experience, whether you're jumping down onto a platform, a botto...

Pretty much just a typo! D'oh! I've been trying to make sense of the other changes he's made. The vast majority of the c...

I had it too. It's lame. There's a charge up move too that was pretty much useless.
