Re: This is driving me nuts... (3DO Samurai Shodown port)

And not being rude in return, but you completely and totally misunderstood what was being said... To make it clear, if they were told not to have a perfect version of Samurai Shodown on the 3DO due to it hurting NEO•GEO sales, WHY did they then make almost perfect ports on the Saturn? Somehow i won...

Re: This is driving me nuts... (3DO Samurai Shodown port)

3DO version arcade perfect??? Not in your wildest dreams... Its not a mark on the NEO•GEO cart or CD version... If this was true, why are the Saturn versions of SNK games so darn close to perfect? Not trying to be rude, but asking a serious question here; what does the quality of the Saturn version...

Re: Recent 3DO Purchases

Tracy Scoggins was way hot back in the day. \\Yuppers, she was and looked great in Snow Job! All of those games are tops, but Snow Job and Sewer Shark totally rock. Sewer Shark is so awesome on the 3DO. Gotta' love the video quality over the Sega CD version. I miss it... Relax. Pretend it's just a ...

Re: J.U.G.S. Device

No big deal lol. There's always the Skunkboard in an 'absolutely need to test a file' scenario. Wanted to use the software from way back tho as it was intended and add some new demos with custom batch files. Still can't believe I was irresponsible enough to misplace the adapter. I'm pretty anal abo...

Re: Iron Angel of the Apocalypse: The Return

Yeah, I enjoyed The Return. It really is a radical departure from the original in almost every respect, but I enjoy this sort of game too, so that's okay. The main thing is, once you figure out how to effectively use the barrier, the gameplay takes on a style different from other first person shoot...

No, no Jewel Case for this game in the US. It only released in the longbox with the big instruction booklet. Just so you know. Ah! Thanks Freeker. Appreciate that. Will just opt for the JPN release instead then, as I'm sure it will be English throughout anyway... Not quite ... I was gonna' say, no,...

Stellar 7 was never actually received a PAL release, but have wanted it for some time. Will have to hunt down a JP or US copy at some point (just as a jewel case for US, if it exists?) No, no Jewel Case for this game in the US. It only released in the longbox with the big instruction booklet. Just ...

I've been searching for the pinout of this and so far have come up with nothing. If anyone knows or even has a picture of the device itself, I'd be grateful. I'm trying to upload files the old-school way but without the adapter, I'm stuck. Thanks! 8) Wow man, I haven't heard that one in a VERY long...

Re: Ye olde reviews

If I remember, Game Pro and EGM both were very ravey for the 3DO actually. Although there were exceptions to the rule. I remember the scathing reviews for DOOM. Game Pro even gave The Horde a perfect review. I remember the little gold sticker on the box saying so. They loved The Horde and seemed to ...

Well, at least it seems, for the most part, that you enjoyed the game. I liked both games back in the day, but admittedly, never actually beat them. Perhaps it's long overdue? Look forward to your walk through though.

Re: Recommend a Sega game

Final Fight on Sega CD, it's superior to every other console port around that time. I still think it's superior to many of the ports they have now even! For Sega CD, gotta' play Batman Returns. Yes, it is uncommon, and you need not play the cart based platformer levels as they aren't the tre...

Re: Piece of history

As for the above post on FMV stuff, you have a point, but you also posted most of the games as FMV games. The main meat of the games are the cinematics themselves and that was the point. Final Fantasy VIII was a piece of garbage when comparing it to many other games in the series, and the main reas...

Re: Piece of history

I remember back in the day, some dude broke down FF VIII and basically determined that the gamplay parts of the discs basically would fill three quarters of a Playstation disc, so that means three and a quarter discs were all just CG. This is the case with all multi-disc games, including pre-FFVII ...

Re: Piece of history

By the way, why do you always spell "RPGs" with an apostrophe? Just curious. I don't know, to be honest. Just something I have always done. As for RPG's being "Better" these days. I don't know that I really agree with all of that either. The game changer was obviously Final Fantasy VII. At the time...

Re: Alone in the Dark PC version vs 3DO Version.

My 3DO Blaster system has allowed me to install the PC version of Alone in the Dark, and while it's a good deal smoother (might be down to the Pentium III processor) the sound sucks. Choppy and there appears to be no music. However, that maybe down to my system. Currently the CDrom hasn't got an au...

Re: Upgrade cartridge?

There's one for free right now on the Xbox One (also on PS4), but it honestly sucks horribly. The controls make your hands scream (seriously, look it up), and the gameplay just.. sucks. Unless you lock on, you can't hit ANYTHING in your ship, and locking on is one of those "hold the button down and...

Re: Wondering about "Not for resale" version of Lucienne's Q

Might review copies of the game have been labeled "Not for resale"? It's possible. Also, back in the day at my Local Best Buy, I could swear we had a demo unit set up with Lucienne's Quest as well for playing. Is it possible that there were a few copies sent out to stores to demo a more traditional...

You know, after reading that letter and the response, I have a stupid question; What would one consider "The Horde"? Those days were great for wild ideas, thought up by entrepreneurs not accounts departments. Jag Cd, CD-I, 3do, 32X, NG, they were all at it. Now XB1 and PS4 look basically the same, with only nintendo still a bit crazy. This is exactly why I thought the 90s were great for gaming compared to now. Ne...

RGCD is more much reputable than the last production. You lost me here. Not sure what you meant by that. Who is more reputable than who? RGCD is a known seller with a history of delivering titles. Not trying to be rude, but is this what the Jaguar community is down to now? Scene Demos? The Demo Scene is wildly different from what you would classify as the "normal Jaguar scene". The purpose is to do things with the hardware with a minimal amount of code. It's an experiment, essentially. You a...
