Re: Recent 3DO Purchases

Anybody know anything about MAS Super Pro-Sticks? I found one at a trailer park yard sale, and at this point I'm pretty sure it's for 3DO. (The guy said he thought it was for Genesis.) There's two plugs - one looks exactly like the one on my 3DO controller. The other one must be for daisy chaining. ...

Re: Alone in the Dark vs. Resident Evil

My Saturn is unmodded, so I have to use an Action Replay cart to play imports. Deep Fear is one of a handful of multi-disc Saturn games which, due to the mechanism used for saving progress between discs, cannot be played to completion using the Action Replay cartridge. That's why the PAL version go...

Anybody know how to get through mission 6, where you have to destroy the air base and deal with enemy radar? Is this the final mission? Thanks.

It also had a lot of weird Japan-only releases. Most of your major players released SOMETHING for it. And yet, no shooters.

Kenji Eno Dead at 42

Japanese game designer and musician Kenji Eno has died of heart failure induced by high blood pressure, reports The Asahi Shimbun. Among his accomplishments, his former company Warp produced several titles for the 3DO including D and Trip'd. He was 42. English: http://kotaku.com/5985871/game-designe...

I guess so. Good ol' Pack-In-Video ... I'll have to check out a vid of the Saturn Racer to see how the music fits. Versatile tunes that work just as well for a space shooter, as the do for a racer, or a pinball game. :P Burning Soldier and Wangan share a few tracks, actually. And the intro music fr...

It's from Burning Soldier. It's also in Wangan Dead Heat/Highway 2000 for the Saturn. They really got some mileage out of that music.

Trip'd is a hidden gem. Not so hidden maybe, but it doesn't get a lot of talk and it's good. Yeah, Trip'd is pretty good. Unfortunately, 1P solo Trip'd is almost coma-inducing. As soon as it starts getting intense, you move up a level, the bottom rows are eliminated, and everything slows back down.
