Dreamcast, form and functionality in one little white box... it's a thing of beauty!

Also mine hasn't turned tequilla yellow unlike many a SNES.

Domestic violence is apparently very good in short sharp measures, it helps cement your relationaship. Never say no to a little S&M if she asks!

All valid points UT. My own personal use of Steam tends to be for Valve games and the indie titles. The indie titles don't require an internet connection, they play offline. Games like Defcon, Audiosurf, Darwinia and World of Goo, I picked them all up in a Steam sale where they were sold for peanuts...

I enjoy reading your anecdotes.

When I feel like I got it bad all I have to do is visit the 3DO Zone Forums to realise my life isn't that bad.

I don't stalk women, I don't lactate on ladies perfume and my personal hygiene is exceptional. I'm doing quite well :D

Steam started it by having PC gamers pay full price for just an ISO with no box, artwork, or manual. I love the old PC game big boxes. Those things are gorgeous. Now we have this. I find Steam and especially valve developed ware to be the one redeeming example of how games in the future should be. ...

I was looking at that exact auction! :D The power adapter is a standard molex connection, so no problem getting power to the unit. Just tried a power up and the hard drive I took out is happily chirping away, so at least one of these discs is still spinning over a decade on! Hopefully it's just a ca...

Quick update here.

I just took apart one of the units and identified the hard drive as a Seagate ST11200N.

It seems to be a 50-Pin SCSI device so I'm guessing some form of Adaptor will allow me to hook this up to a modern PC.

3DO Dev Stations

So I have a couple of 3DO Development Stations which are in point of fact really really old Apple Macintosh Quadra computers circa 92' - 95'. I've tried to link them up to a display in the past but get no picture on the monitor once they're turned on. Any Macintosh types in here that can give me som...

Great to see them pictures on-line, brings back memories of the very long boring hours scanning it all!

I found the Alien concept art really amazing and a couple of the cityscapes were quite interesting pieces.

Right - so then. If it's sh*t can I moan furiously? I'm sure you'll find something to bitch about! As long as you get a good mix of people on Left 4 Dead to play with, it's an excellent experience. Of course the occassional knob joins the game who runs around screaming and shooting at you. D...

Post 2008, the only game that really does it for me is 'Left 4 Dead' (PC Version).

I've never experienced on-line play in a game that had the drive and narrative of a single player. Left 4 Dead does exactly that for me, it's excellent.

I liked how the film tricked you into thinking 'Ahh, this must be coming up to the dramatic ending!' Then this occurred about three times throughout the film! Great story telling and the portrayal of JOKER was sublime. Otherwise I didn't get the impression the other actors were particularly stretche...

It's very very fast! Excellent at multi-tasking as well. I watched a streaming video whilst browsing the net and downloading a huge file on a standard broadband connection with no slowdown!

Some people never go beyond the limits of the city they were born in!

Sad, but very true. Once worked with a guy that thought a trip to Bath from Bristol (15 miles) was pure decadence!

I have a few protos that I'd never release, however it seemed prudent to stave off bitrot by making a duplicate on fresh media. Well worth buying a few CDr for!
