Re: My FZ-10 console
Cool but i wish i could get one that's not expensive or a goldstar ! There are crazy expensive here in France, it's like paying for a new console at launch ! You lucky bastard  thanks. These last years prices in all retro computing and gaming have raised a lot. It was a lot cheaper hobby w...

Any info on rom_tags generation?
So working with my iso tool I've come to the point in which I need to generate the rom_tags file. Thing is, I suppose it is based on the amiga romtags, but I don't know anything about it.
Does anybody knows this file is structure and how it is created?

Re: OperaTool
I'm writing it in C# so it should compile under OS X using monodevelop. BTW I've decompiled the Dr. Hauzer ISO and I can confirm the script is in plaintext.

Re: My FZ-10 console
I haven't programmed in the atari falcon, but looking at the hardware I suspect that in fact it is a more suited machine for Quake II engine, since you can use the DSP as a second processor and the "GPU" is also programmable. BTW it sounds cool, I'll take a look at that project. I've just started wi...

Re: The game that got canceled!
A Doom II port given enough time would have been restored the faith lost with the first one. In fact, they should have released the Doom trilogy (ultimate doom, doom 2 and the master levels). It wasn't planed, but I would love to see Tomb Raider running in the 3DO, it's a pity that given the short l...

My FZ-10 console
Hi! I wanted to show my newly acquired 3DO. I was looking for a console who was compatible with everything, so I ended buying this japanese FZ-10. Support for CDR was very important since I want to run my homebrew games, for now looks like it reads everything without any problem. https://dl.dropboxu...

Re: OperaTool
About OperaFS, I talked with the author and he said that he lost the code. 4DO emualtor has a file extraction interface in it and is open source. Might be a good place to look if you need more info. Thanks! from what I've seen looking at their code, I got it right, at least in the read part... now t...

OperaTool
I'm developing a tool that could extract and create iso files for the Opera file system, much like the OperaFS DEcompiler, but as a command line version, so we can automatize the process of iso creation and get to test each new build with just one click :) I'm trying to understand the filesystem, so...

Re: OperaFS[De]Compiler commandline or source code?
All we need are better tools. All I can say is that I could not agree more. I've send an email to the author, I'll tell more if I get a reply. In the meantime I've been working a bit more with the 3DO and I must say I'm loving the system! I hope I can build a 3d engine that doesn't sucks too much :...

Re: OperaFS[De]Compiler commandline or source code?
Thanks
It's a pity there's no code... I'm seriously thinking on switching to Basilisk II and just use the official tools.

OperaFS[De]Compiler commandline or source code?
Hi! I almost have my automated "make & play" ready, but there's still a point which must be done manually. I wonder if the OperaFS util accept command line params to do the iso creation automatically. Or at least, the source has been released, so I can add it myself? btw I've been playing with the c...

Re: Introduce yourself.
Hi all! I love to develop for consoles, specially the old ones, and always wanted to try the 3DO. I've started this evening looking for all required material and this forum proved to be a great source of help, so that's why I registered. Since it's my first day I barely started programming it, I've ...
