Well Atari has to try I guess.

I believe they would have had a better chance of success of they'd had access to the tools HVS had developed.

A lot of Jag DOOM is in C. It is far from optimized. WMCJ actually renders more than twice as many pixels per second than DOOM and I would have gotten WMCJ to be faster if I would have had time to move the decompression of sprites from the GPU to the DSP. I think the "losing" a character in the crowd has more to do with getting used to playing in the perspective than with choppy animations. Burger Becky just got an actual 3D0 Dev system. Dunno from where but she may actually God willing, rework Doom herself.

what I don't understand is he did the Lynx SD the neo Geo pocket SD and and handled all those orders just fine but somehow he's got to quit on the Jag one.

Both 3do and Atari couldn't get the assets for this game they contracted with the company for yet apparently Sony and Nintendo had no problem.

Hmmm... Does this make anyone else wonder if Sony's deep pockets were at work here?
