Well just didn´t find a solution... I striped the complete unit - the ribbon cable seems to be o.k. (as I can see) I just pulled it out and fixed it again - without any changes. I now saw, that the battery is leaking... you can just see it if you look form down upways - luckily it doesent looks like...

ok - ok - ribbon cable... huh??? hah??? :shock: And now? some posts here? I must go and google... But meanwhile I opend the 3DO - so if I open and close without CD the lence and laser makes some minor movements - if I put a CD in it starts spinning for two or three times but always stops again just ...

Hey - thanks for that info! And a hi ho - for translation software :D just works nice! I use it for translation of russian or japaneese websites too... not perfekt but it´s just getting better and better!
