Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

Yeah I'd seen it on rf generation or something. I'd never seen one for sale, there's a completed listing on eBay just now from one that sold in Germany recently. I wonder how the game was sold in shops with that manual? I can only think it was either shrink wrapped to the outside of the case or it w...

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

The game is Cyberia, double CD case and a manual thats too fat for the case. Excellent find! I've been somewhat aware of its existence from a poor quality photo I found on the Internet a few years ago but since I've never seen it for sale, I assumed that the image I'd seen was a fake. This has to b...

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

Have you got a picture of Waialae Country Club (UK Version) single cased release, as I've never seen this, does it exist? I'll get a picture of the game I have, that's not listed shortly. No, I've got the Geman version. I was sure I saw a UK version a few years ago when I was compiling my list, but...

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

Oh by the way I almost forgot, there's actually 82 games not 81. I have a game in a double CD case, with ELSPA age rating & "This title displays in letterbox format on the 3DO PAL system" printed on the back cover, and it isn't on any lists I can find anywhere only the US & Japan releases. What gam...

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

I forgot to mention in an earlier post that games published by Panasonic can be easily identified by the product code on the front: FZ-SM = USA FZ-SE = Europe FZ-SJ = Japan I've also come across FZ-SG (Germany) and FZ-SC (Canada) The Daedalus Encounter double case has an FZ-SM code, hence it's just ...

Re: World Cup 2014

I've watched every game so far. This has been a great World Cup, the best since France '98 if it keeps going the way it's going. England's elimination has been the highlight as usual :)

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

Yeah... I'dve thought Snow Job would have been quite rare actually. Guess not! I've always had an eye out for a copy of Bazookatone, but haven't turned one up for some time. I know it's common on other platforms (Saturn etc) but err... it's not the sort of game I'd buy for the Saturn. It ...

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

Yeah it's good when people list things incorrectly, I've had a couple bargains that way myself. The dragons lair box has both the ELSPA box and the letterbox wording on the back. Also the front cover has 'for use with the 3DO system' written across the bottom, the US and JPN versions do not have thi...

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

In my opinion the rarest PAL games are: Another World BC Racers Dragon's Lair Johnny Bazookatone I got dragons lair off eBay last summer after searching everyday for about a year. Ironically 2 copies appeared at the same time, I haven't seen another copy listed since. Do you have Johnny Bazookatone?...

Re: PAL 3DO Collectors

Thanks. Yes that was me, my NTSC board still works great with the UK PSU. I'm now just 9 off a full PAL set now (if 81 is the true total). Well you're a lot closer than me to a known full set, I've still got about 30 odd to get. Although I do have all the rarest titles so the remaining games should...

Re: Giving Killing Time another chance

The PAL versions quite uncommon, but when it does appear it's usually in the £5-10 range. There's 2 on eBay France but their way over-priced and have been listed for months. Yeah PAL only for me, I'm hoping to complete my collection this year unless I get side tracked as usual. Although you've give...

Re: Giving Killing Time another chance

+1 from over in my corner here, re: Killing Time being f*cking awesome! It really is a great game. One the one hand, I'm happy its a relatively obscure/unknown 3DO classic, but... on the other hand, probably would have been cool (at the time) to see this ported to Saturn or/& PS1, just to give the ...

Re: Giving Killing Time another chance

The link in my signature covers all my thoughts on Killing Time. Can't think of anything else to add at the moment. Well that's not entirely true. Anyone ever play Realms of the Haunting and think of it as a much more polished game in the same vein as Killing Time? Though its flavor is definitely l...

Re: Giving Killing Time another chance

I agree with T2KFreeker. Killing time is an excellent game from what I've seen so far. I was initially put off buying it as is seen it described as a pseudo sequel to Escape From Monster Manor. So I bought EFMM first and thought it was more a tech demo than a game, I got bored of it very quickly. I ...

Re: Recent 3DO Purchases

Just picked up Killing Time. I played a few hrs yesterday, I can tell already that it's going to be one of my fav games for the system. I've got a few more games on their way too. On a side note, I'm only about 30 games or so away from a full PAL/Euro 3DO set and I've got all the most difficult game...

Re: Blade Force?

I forgot to mention the disappointing ending. All it was was a short FMV showing the blimp in the intro crashing to the ground on fire followed by a compilation of the previous FMVs which were shown after beating each boss. It also mentions your characters name is Bubba, perhaps a play on Bobba Fett?

Re: Blade Force?

I spoke too soon. Level 5 (Rev Beeatch) was a nightmare, I managed to get to the boss easy enough but she was protected by these annoying flying purple ships that just wasted me everytime. I resorted to popping in the Game Guru and entering 255 lives code. Needless to say I eventually beat her. The ...

Re: Blade Force?

Ok so I gave Blade Force another try yesterday and I'm finally making some progress. What I needed to do was destroy these small box-like objects that cause walls to disappear. Once I figured that out its been plain sailing. I've managed to defeat 4 bosses already so I reckon I should complete it th...

Thanks Trev. I found scans of issues 10 & 12 on the net, good read. I enjoyed the review summary at the end of the issues detailing what score each game received upon release.

I tried it again last night, same story. I destroyed every electric field I could find, still couldn't get to the red area of the map. It's a shame cos I really like the gameplay. Oh well, I'll try battlesport tonight instead

Blade Force?

So I just picked up Blade Force this week and I'm stumped. Does anyone know how to get past the first mission (Terrance Pitt)? I can see from the map I'm supposed to get to the red area but I cant find away in. I end up just flying around blowing everything up until I run out of fuel. It a shame, it...

Yeah, Total Eclipse is a strange one, it doesn't fit into my criteria above. I've seen the misprint with The Horde back cover a couple of times. As you may know already Total Eclipse was the pack-in game with the FZ-1 in Europe. I'm not sure if it was ever sold separately over here. Anyway I believe...
