Kodak PhotoCD

I thought this had been discussed before, but search did not find anything. Kookytech made a "how-to" video on his channel for making Kodak PhotoCD's. I can't think of many practical reasons to do this, but they do play on the 3DO. I figured I would put this here for reference. https://www.youtube.c...

Re: Is this the most active 3DO forum on the web?

AA is mostly regurgitated topics and discussions from this forum.
I would say interest as a whole has gone down. Games from this generation didnt age well.
Sure, there are some gems, but not many hidden gems.

Re: Games that could reach 3DO's limit

here's the thing. the GBA had some games that looked better than 3DO and Jag. It wasn't the hardware so much as it was the SDK and the techniques learned over time.

Dunno why? You can probably still get on the 3rd production run by emailing the creator.

Is it socket based or did you need to reheat all the solder to pull it off?

There's always people talking about how games didnt seem 32bit, and this is a good explanation why it took a while for devs to catch up.

Looking for old Gex dev interview

Many years ago I read a fascinating article from one of the developers of Gex. They went into detail on how unprepared people were for developing 32bit sprites for a 2d platformers. It was a challenging effort to make Gex and people don't appreciate it enough. Does that ring a bell with anyone? Link...

Re: Doom 3DO source code released

I think the more intriguing part is will it enable more development on 3DO?

Granted, it's one of the worst ports of Doom in existence, but maybe that could be easily resolved.

Re: Supply and demand is "Out of this World!"

I had to wait a while for my replies to emails regarding when it would be shipped etc but they did send out notifications that it had been delayed due to issues initially with the cartridge assembler I believe. I would have liked to be able to get the heretic cart that's mentioned in another thread...

Re: Supply and demand is "Out of this World!"

RGCD is more much reputable than the last production. You lost me here. Not sure what you meant by that. Who is more reputable than who? RGCD is a known seller with a history of delivering titles. The first run of this game was some french site that showed little to no information. You were just su...

Either a top sales or a generic top 10 sponsored by Babbages.
I don't think it matters either way.

Re: Supply and demand is "Out of this World!"

RGCD is more much reputable than the last production. I would have preordered had I seen this one as well. The first run was even more sketchy from the very beginning. That being said, there are endless options for this game, so this is just an argument for Jag collectors. And we know how those peop...

I would wait on PS4 or XO until you see that game you can't live without. Halo 5 or whatever Sony is doing. I don't really know.
There's not many issues with these boxes, but I'm sure the manufacturing has improved.

Nope. Sony and Microsoft put a lot of effort into thwarting pirates. If you live in a major US city, you could try craigslist for a premodded system or modding service.

Re: Wii U

I think this E3 was exactly the opposite. Nintendo won the show with nothing but games. If you look at PS4, XO, and WiiU today, the games on are on the WiiU. The new consoles are sitting exactly where the WiiU was a year ago. Not enough titles because everything was in the queue. It's going to be an...

Re: Now what do I need to jailbraek my Xbox 360?

I performed this by custom flashing the DVD drive firmware. This required taking apart the 360. Checking with model of drive is installed. Some drives could not be flashed. Download the custom firmware. Buying a $30 adapter to flash the firmware. Burn game, and go. There are newer methods with JTAG,...

That Italy / Uruguay game was almost unwatchable. How can professional athletes be such pussy's? Not only does everyone flop, but they grab parts of there body that were not even touched. They need more refs or replays to get these people out of the game. I'm fine with biting, at least that is a rea...
