Whether there is a disc in or not, when I first turn it on the power light goes on (red light), but it does not even try to access the a disc (no green light), so the screen remains blank. I turn it on a second time and it works fine.

Any thoughts?

It's being doing this ever since I bought the system (new). I have to hit the button 3 times. I turn it on and nothing happens, so I shut it off. Then I turn it on and again and it's fine.

It's almost as if it needs to be turned on twice because it isn't getting enough power the first time.

I'd say almost every time it powers on at the second try. I usually unplug it when not in use. If I happen to leave it plugged in, I believe it sometimes powers on at the first try. I almost always unplug it though.

Ever since I bought my 3DO years ago (FZ-10) I've had the same problem. When I plug it in and first flip on the power, nothing happens. It doesn't try to access the disc. When I flip it on a second time, it works fine. Has anyone else had this problem or know what would cause that? Thanks very much.
