Re: My 3DO Blaster Project
That bring back memories of my own try and error game with my 3DO Blaster. I finally successed too, but i had to be creative because i had no fitting CDA cables, and no feature connector cable. The featre connector cable was no problem, i took an old floppy cable. It has more pins, but fits perfectl...

Re: 3DO Blaster in DOS?
I never found any DOS executable on my system. I think that this was a feature which was never really implemented. I guess those websites are wrong about that.

Perfectly summed up, T2KFreeker. Many good points, which where common knowledge back then, but seems to be forgotten today. Back then, mostly all magazines where pro-Nintendo. They dumped down all, which was NOT Nintendo. No matter, how bad this stuff was or how good the other stuff was. They dumped...

The Jaguar was the last classic game console, mainly designed for classic arcade gameplay. This was inho one of the reasons, it failed. I came in a time, when the 3DO send the foreshadows of the new generations of game consoles, which evolved in SEGAs Saturn and SONYs Playstation. None of all the hy...

Most Hong Kong pirates look like this. Cheap silkscreening but at least they are generally pressed. Looks exactly like this. Silkscreening but pressd. check to see the writing on the ring of the disc all my US based Killing Time discs (Red / black) are pressed by the same company, AP or something I...

Another issue was, that the developers had to used the 3DO APIs, instead of the direct hardware access id Software had to the jaguar. Another side note: they planned to insert FMV sequences in Doom, i have three screenshots found some years ago. It was a really ambitious project, but in the end, the...

Sorry for digging out this old thread. Chex Quest is basically a total conversion for Doom (the first one). It even contains all the maps and other stuff from Doom, which are not replaced, but they are only available through cheats. Chex Quest 2 is the same, but it replaces the second episode, and i...

I installed my 3DO Blaster some years ago, and maybe i am wrong with the standard drivers. The only thing, i've found so far, is the disk with the software. Maybe the drivers are on this.
I have uploaded the disk.

Hope, that helps.

Mip mapping in Killing Time.
Today i've played a bit Killing Time, and it seems, as if it uses mipmapping , a technology used on the PC in Quake for the first time, which was released almost a year later. I tried to take shots to show, and hopefully, you get an idea, how it looks. Ingame it can be seen much better, and that the...

And the last decent Audi was made in 1985.! And Apple is not Apple Computers anymore. ;-) My impression of the gaming market today is, that is on its way to either a new collapse or a great change. Its always the same, first comes the hunger, the passion, the rise. Then follows the state of decaden...
