Re: Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
I really need Jaguar in my life! PIt fall, Bubsy, Zool 2 and Rayman look beautiful. The Jaguar does have some good platformers that were mostly overlooked back in the day becuase everyone wanted 3D and 2D platformers were starting to fall out of style for a while. Of course the 3DO and other 32-bit...

Re: The Iron Soldier Thread.
Definitely a "killer-app" for the Jaguar, as well as the sequel. I tend to play number 2 more, since I have it, though the requirement is a Jag CD unit and finding a copy, or even harder, finding the cart version. But I did just recently start a new game of the original, on medium, which is about eq...

Ya, I heard / read the 3DO port was rushed, or something. Though I did notice something about the 3DO version of Doom. Although the framerate is poor, the resolution is VERY good. Even using just AV cables, 3DO Doom looked super-sharp on my 35 inch Trinitron. Noticeably more so than the Jag, 32X, P...

It's amazing how long ago analogue crept in. I still use the digital pad in defiance when ever possible. Don't like change me :) I love Tempest2000 as much as the next man. I actually was pretty ambivalent about it, but I put the time in and came up with an addiction :) Are these rotary controllers...

Re: Need for Speed Scoring
What should i go for? Best time or best score? Score is a product of skill, so im not sure why you think you can go for one without the other. The NSX is quite likely the worst car in the game. Hmm...not positive, but I really don't think my highest scores in the game where all made along with my b...

Re: 2nd model Panasonic gamepad vs 1st
I prefer the JP1X myself. And it is all due to the size. I don't think my hands are particularly large, I'm 5' 11", have a shoe size of about 7 1/2, IIRC. But I really do prefer larger controllers. my hands get cramps using the JP2X. My favorite for size comfortability is actually the Goldstar pad, ...

Re: Telegames ripped me off. (Read it here)
That's good. But I've noticed that Telegames seems to release a batch about once or twice a year for all the Jaguar games, and the Jag dealers usually get a few copies in too. So, i think if you happen to order from Telegames after they ran out of stock from the latest run, you may be waiting six mo...

I may have already beat my old times and even Case's for all or know, or not...since I posted those times I sold my 3DO and bought another back a year later, and have all new times on a different 3DO, which i haven't compared to any times here yet. In any case, I will get back to it as soon as I can...

That is fantastic Casethecorvetteman, I've been waiting years for a new challenge.I assume you've posted your times, I'll take a look and see what I have to accomplish. I'm so excited. If you could beat my times, then it gives me new confidence that I can beat my old times, and hopefully yours as we...

Re: Need for Speed on 3DO destroys the other 32-bit versions
Still my favorite racer of all time. Yeah, I've wished forever that the 3DO version had more courses, but the 3 there are like old friends to me now, just like there are certain roads in real life that you have traveled for years, but still are fun because the cars are fun to drive. I play racers fr...

Re: What IS E______ W____?!?
Of course Earthworm Jim crossed my mind for a brief moment, but since it doesn't fit at all in the two word, 7 and 5 letter scheme it was just an instant. I'd be happy if it's a platformer as long as it's not a 16-bit looking one, but one using the Jag's hardware and colors to good use. What ever it...

Re: Star Wars X-wing shooter games.
That looks like a good game. I'll have to grab it for the Saturn. Never even heard of it before now. Mostly out in space. Not too much texturing. Jaguar could of probably handled that with some reduced texturing. The Jag could handle it with full texturing, as-is, just going by Space War 2000 and B...

Re: 3DO MAS Super Pro-Stick
Tracking down the number of these out there probably isn't going to be easy, if it's at all possible, because they are ALL custom made for every system by hardware hackers, from what I can tell... Back in the late 90's when I lived in Southern California, there was a Mom and Pop video game shop that...

Re: Any 3DO fans in Chicago?
As relatively popular as the 3DO was compared to say, the Jaguar you would figure there would be more aciton on this forum. Back in the day, the 3DO was better known because they had better marketing and distribution than the Jaguar, but in actuality I don't think there were a ton more actual sales...

Re: Quarantine!
From what I recall, the PC and other console versions are a bit better graphically, in that they have ground texturing that the 3DO version lacks. I've also heard from reviews that "they took a really good PC game and turned it into a mediocre 3DO game." But I do enjoy playing the 3DO version myself...

Well, I played it a few years ago, I don't recall if I finished it or not, but I did recently start playing through it again, if you want to call that a "replay." It's a decent game and I am glad to have it in my library, just because I like these type of games.

I'm happy to see new developments moving forward for the Jaguar and Jag community, it's definitely a good thing, even if the projects are something I personally have no interest in. Re: Star Wars X-wing shooter games.
I had Darklight Conflict when I owned a Saturn and I highly recommend it, an excellent space shooter, with very Jag-esque graphics; dark, Garrard-shaded graphics like Battlesphere. it does have an arcade mode if I remember, but it was one of my favorite Saturn games. Damn, now I want a Saturn again!...

Fine! Now I have to pull this game out of somewhere and play it just to see how bad it really is. It isn't bad, it's actually quite good, IMHO, and the frame-rate may ...
